The Winnipeg Infertility Resource Centre evolved from Winnipeg’s first infertility support group started in 1983 by a dedicated group of women.
Since 1990, we have been affiliated with the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada www.iaac.ca, and now form the Manitoba Chapter. This national organization provides compassionate support and information to people who are experiencing infertility. The IAAC also serves to increase awareness of infertility issues through public education and advocacy.
Manitoba Board
Our board members are individuals who have been affected by infertility and wish to help others by assisting the organization. These volunteers are active board members who give of their time and energy to ensure the programs and services are carried out in an ethical and confidential manner. It operates under the bylaws as set out by the national office. Thank you to all board members past and present for your gift of time and energy. You are appreciated.

Commemorative Bench Project
Over past few years, members of the support group and the Manitoba board wanted to create a lasting legacy, a place of remembrance for the children who will live forever in our hearts. Several appeals and fundraisers later and we raised sufficient funds to purchase a park bench in Assiniboine Park. A very special thank you to many wonderful supportive friends and family who contributed to this worthy cause.
The park bench brings to light awareness infertility. The commorative bench is located across from the Lyric Theater, a place which will be utilized by many patrons of the park.
Inscribed on the bench:
